[NoHo Arts District, CA] – Artistic Director Doug Haverty of the Group Rep Theater Company is proud to announce his 50e anniversary season, which will run from October 6, 2022 to September 17, 2023, at the Lonny Chapman Theater in North Hollywood, Calif.
“The rare success of the 50 representatives of the groupe anniversary should not be taken lightly,” said Doug Haverty. “Very few intimate theaters in Los Angeles survive, let alone stand the test of time for half a century.”
Haverty continued, “Since the band’s rep announced their 2020 season, they have had to pivot many times offering theater in other ways, including filming their planned annual one-act play festival and the live streaming of their planned production of Tuesdays with Morrie the Lonny Chapman Theatre; in addition, the company built an outdoor theater in the parking lot of the Lonny Chapman Theater (named “The Yard”) and presented MOTEL 66; GRT has created three virtual festivals available to stream for free: Corridors, Numbers not hidden and Holiday trimmings and ornaments.”
“The 2022-23 season put together is something to shout about,” Doug Haverty said. “The six plays of the new season are well-known and marked milestones when they came onto the scene.”

Today, in 2022, times are more difficult, we are less naive and we wanted to offer timeless, original productions and a tribute to eternal literature. The discoveries we make together will delight and entertain. Come celebrate with us!”
