Tribal II at Humber Street is closed until January 6

In Hull, two other bars have announced they will remain closed on New Years Eve, a heartbreaking decision for business leaders and owners.

Pave on Princes Avenue and Tribal II on Humber Street have become the latest hotel victims of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Both sites had scheduled events for December 31 and had pre-bookings in the system ready for a festive start until 2021.

However, staff illness has put both sites low and due to periods of isolation the two will now not open until 2022.

The Tribal team wrote on Wednesday: “Tribal Humber Street is disappointed to announce that due to a Covid-19 outbreak our site will be closed until Thursday, January 6th.

“Everyone who has pre-booked is being contacted – anyone wishing to contact us while we are closed should send a message to our Facebook page.

“Please be patient while waiting for a response.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming our customers in 2022.”

The popular Princes Avenue bar Pave also took to social media last night to announce its closure. They said: “Due to the illness of the staff, we have made the decision to close for the next few days.
