Fancy Feast will open a pop-up restaurant for cat owners in New York

Get ready for a new dining hotspot, NYC. There’s a new cat trattoria in town.

Cat food brand Fancy Feast opens “Gatto Bianco by Fancy Feast”, a limited-time Italian trattoria for cat lovers. There’s no need to worry – they won’t serve you cat food, although Fancy Feast products feature carefully crafted, delicious recipes that cats love.

The menu is curated by Fancy Feast chef Amanda Hassner, in collaboration with renowned restaurateur and Michelin-starred Italian chef Cesare Casella. Each dish is inspired by Fancy Feast Medleys recipes and features elements of traditional Italian cuisine. Intended to show cat owners and cat lovers the care taken in developing original gourmet recipes for cats, the pop-up restaurant will allow customers to experience a free tasting menu.

“Food has the power to connect us to others in meaningful ways and take us places we’ve never been,” Hassner said in a press release. “The same goes for our cats. Gatto Bianco dishes are prepared in a way that helps cat owners understand how their cats experience food – from flavor to texture to shape – from a way only Fancy Feast can.”

Cat lovers wishing to dine at Gatto Bianco will only be able to do so on Thursday August 11 and Friday August 12. Guests can make a reservation for two for dinner, and there will be four time slots available each day at 6:30 p.m. pm.

Reservations will open Thursday, August 4 at 11 p.m. on OpenTable. To try your luck and secure your place, you can visit this link.
