Gas Oakley, the famous Avant-garde vegan, launched a pop-up restaurant in Neighborhood Kitchen in his hometown of Cardiff. It is open until July 3, fans can come and taste some of the famous dishes, cooked by the chef himself.
He’s been an internet star for years, initially creating the Avant-Garde Vegan Instagram account in 2016, which now has over 630,000 followers. Since then, he has published three cookbooks and collaborated with many famous restaurants around the world, earning 1.4 million subscribers on his Avant-Garde Vegan YouTube channel. And we can see why, with people eager to follow his ambition to vegetate popular and traditional dishes.
Following her childhood dream of always wanting to open a restaurant, this latest pop-up restaurant, Nana O’s Comfort Food, will serve healthy and delicious dishes to Neighborhood kitchen. The inspiration being his own grandmother whom he hopes to pay homage to in his selection of menu options.
As a pop-up, the venue will be hosted by Neighborhood Kitchen on Tudor Street, which is a street food venue that invites chefs to take turns showing off their skills, pairing traditional and inspiring meals with popular cocktails . You can find the location at 80 Tudor Street CF11 6AL, conveniently located close to Cardiff Central Station. Nana O’s will reside there from June 23 to July 3, from Thursday to Sunday for the lunchtime and evening sessions.
