Jim ‘N Nick’s alabaster location unveiled as new fast-casual restaurant model – Shelby County Reporter

ALABASTER – Jim ‘N Nick’s Community Bar-BQ (JNN), known for its award-winning barbecue, Southern hospitality and concern for the communities it serves, has converted its location to 295 Alabaster Blvd. Alabaster, Ala., has a fast-casual style of dining.

This change allows for faster customer service and shorter wait times while maintaining the same great food and community-focused atmosphere that have been cornerstones of the brand for three decades. The Alabaster location will retain a full-service bar and have team members to meet customer needs throughout the restaurant. Additionally, the new design provides customers with a faster way to pick up take-out orders while maintaining convenient drive-thru and dine-in options.

“The conversion to fast casual mode is an exciting change that we are excited to see implemented at our site,” said Mike Waller, local owner of JNN – Alabaster. “I’m confident our customers will enjoy the ease, convenience and flexibility of this new style of dining while enjoying the same high quality service, great BBQ and light family atmosphere they’ve come to expect with impatience when they dine in our Restaurants.”

The Alabaster location is one of its first restaurants to undergo this transition as part of a company-wide initiative to convert more JNN locations to this dining style. Additionally, the growing brand plans to open 10 new locations over the next 18 months.

“As we continue to expand in the Southeast, we look forward to welcoming customers to experience our newly designed space,” said JNN General Manager Larry Ryback. “We look forward to welcoming new team members to help us continue our mission of treating every customer like family through more efficient service.”
