New ‘exciting’ Buzzworks restaurant to combine music and casual dining in Ayrshire town

An exciting new venue is about to open in Ayrshire.

Buzzworks is opening its latest business in the county in the coming weeks.

The Fox, a relaxed live music bar, will open on the site of the former Papi Milano restaurant, located on West Portland Street, Troon, after undergoing a major refurbishment over the past 16 weeks.

The new proposition from the family business, headquartered in Kilmarnock, will allow customers to enjoy Buzzworks’ unique blend of food, drink and style while also giving new impetus to Troon’s leisure offering and its redevelopment creating 20 jobs locally.

With a capacity of up to 160 patrons, patrons of The Fox will be able to enjoy live music and sport throughout the week, including a late license on Friday and Saturday nights, while also being able to enjoy live entertainment. a golf simulator to book. .

The new team working at The Fox will be led by Chief Operating Officer, Johnny Blair.

Johnny brings a wealth of hospitality experience to the new venue, including 10 years working within the Buzzworks portfolio.

As well as an eclectic food offering, which will include crispy breaded buttermilk wings and bowls of Korean barbecue chicken, The Fox will also offer a wide selection of drinks, including being the second venue in Ayrshire to serve cold beer and not pasteurized straight from the brewery – the first being Vic’s, owned by Buzzworks, in Prestwick.

Johnny, Chief Operating Officer at The Fox, said: “We are proud to be investing in Troon again, not only creating 20 more jobs in Ayrshire, but bringing another exciting location to the region.

Buzzworks currently operates a portfolio of 13 locations including Scotts in Troon, Largs and South Queensferry, Vic’s & The Vine in Prestwick, Lido in Prestwick and Troon, The Tree House in Ayr, The Long House and The Duke in Kilmarnock, The Mill House in Stewarton, The Corner House in Kilwinning, The Coach House in Bridge of Weir and their new venue, The Bridge Inn in Linlithgow.
