New restaurant Restaurant Journey heading towards Cheltenham fine dining

A new restaurant, offering a fine dining experience, will open in Cheltenham next month.

The Journey restaurant is due to open on Bath Road on October 28.

It promises to give diners a culinary adventure to explore global flavors in a fun and immersive experience.

Its 12-course tasting menu is the concept of Michelin-trained chef and owner Jeff Lewis.

Jeff has traveled the world and worked in kitchens across Asia, which has exposed him to different cultures, flavors and cooking practices. He combines these global influences with his former training in Ynyshir and working at Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant, The Fat Duck in Bray.

Jeff Lewis said: “We want the food to take center stage, to delight and surprise dinner and to provide Cheltenham with a fine dining experience like no other. It’s a three hour experience with great music, live cooking theatre, flawless service performance and an opportunity for customers to relax and enjoy.”

The Journey Restaurant will use premium ingredients from local suppliers, using every part of the product in one way or another. Less common ingredients will come from around the world or be grown locally in a controlled environment.

The restaurant will offer one dining experience per evening from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
