These are the 10 BEST dive bars in the state of North Dakota!
That’s a bold statement, but I just finished counting over 1,000 votes from our listeners, readers, and fans, so I’m sticking with it. It’s actually a story that lasted a year and a half.
As an avid hunter and fisherman, I enjoy stopping at local establishments and having a beer with the people of small town North Dakota. It took me to some interesting places. I still remember the time I stopped at Gunny’s in Elgin and one of the customers looked at me in my orange pheasant hunting vest and said, “This isn’t a college bar. . Ouch, not a warm welcome from him but it wasn’t long and the locals were warming up with me and my friends. Another time we had a beer at the Cannonball Saloon in Regent after chasing roosters, and a mother asked me if I was taking her daughter to the ball. Yes, that was a few years ago, but something I’ll never forget coming out of high school.
