BOSTON — The 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament kicks off Monday from Qatar and the United States will be in action.
The United States men’s national team will play in Group B alongside England, Iran and Wales. The Welsh will be first in a game which kicks off on Monday, November 21 at 2 p.m. They will follow that tilt with a showdown against England on Black Friday and a game against Iran on Tuesday, November 29.
Boston isn’t often considered a soccer city, but those who think that haven’t been to the bars and restaurants that Yelp rated as the best places in town to watch the World Cup.
Here are the best places in the area to catch all the World Cup action, according to Yelp’s Reggie Williams:
Now, it is important to note that there is an eight hour time difference between Boston and Qatar. The biggest games, including the three games of the American group, start at 10 p.m. in Qatar, which translates to 2 p.m. ET.
All US First Round games will air on Boston 25 News and Fox Sports 1.
If the United States win the group, they will play a round of 16 match on Sunday, December 4.
